Hyunsung TNC announced on the 6th that it tested the contents of its own material patent for room-temperature superconductivity and confirmed the superconductivity phenomenon at room temperature and pressure. According to Hyunsung TNC, the company developed four types of room-temperature superconducting materials while developing positive electrode active materials for all-solid-state batteries, and among them, on July 23, 2020, it applied for a patent for the 'Method for Manufacturing Multi-Component Metal Oxide Exhibiting Room-Temperature Superconductivity through Solid-State Chemical Reaction' of the Type 2 Pb series, and the patent registration (Registration No. 10-2359995) was completed on February 3, 2022, about two years later.
In addition, on October 13, 2020, a patent application was filed for a technology for 'superconducting metal oxide deposition method and metal oxide thin film processing using circular target laser ablation' (mass production equipment capable of deposition processing at room temperature), and the patent was registered on April 14, 2023 (Registration No. 10-2523480).
Along with this patent application, Hyunsung TNC claimed that it had confirmed superconductivity in room-temperature superconducting materials, which are Pb-based and Cd-based metal oxides, through a research team at Ewha Womans University.
