SuperMatics Officially Joins Plug and Play NeoCity Semiconductor Batch 4 and Is Invited to Present to Investors at the Silicon Valley Summit in November

HSTNC’s U.S. subsidiary, SuperMatics Inc., has been selected for the NeoCity Semiconductor Batch 4 program operated by Plug and Play, one of the world’s leading global innovation platforms. SuperMatics was named one of the final 10 companies following an evaluation of more than 800 semiconductor and advanced-technology startups worldwide, recognizing the strength of its superconducting technology and its potential for global commercialization.

The selection process began with Plug and Play reviewing approximately 850 semiconductor and advanced-technology companies within its global startup network. Through an initial internal screening, approximately 50 promising companies were shortlisted and further evaluated based on their technological capabilities, market potential, growth prospects, and potential for collaboration with global corporations. Twenty companies were subsequently selected as finalists.

These finalists presented their technologies and business plans to representatives from global corporations and investment organizations at Selection Day, held at NeoCity in Florida. Following evaluations and voting by Plug and Play’s corporate partners, 10 companies—including SuperMatics—were officially selected to join NeoCity Semiconductor Batch 4.

At Batch 4 Selection Day on August 19, SuperMatics presented its superconducting materials development platform and global commercialization strategy. During the event, the company also held one-on-one meetings with representatives from imec, Cadence Design Systems, L3Harris, and IonQ to discuss potential collaboration and joint development opportunities involving superconducting materials.
As a selected Batch 4 company, SuperMatics has also been officially invited to participate in the Plug and Play Silicon Valley Summit this November, where it will present its technology and investment opportunity to global corporations and investors.

The Silicon Valley Summit is Plug and Play’s flagship global innovation event, bringing together approximately 4,000 corporate executives, investors, startups, and industry experts at each summit. The event features more than 20 industry programs and presentations from over 300 startups. According to officially reported attendance figures, the 2024 Summit welcomed more than 3,500 participants, while each of the 2025 Summits attracted more than 4,000 attendees.

At the upcoming Summit, SuperMatics will introduce the SuperMatics™ platform, which integrates AI with algorithms based on the MEL—or Modulated Electron Lattice—theory. The company will use this opportunity to pursue investment and strategic partnerships with U.S. investors and global corporations. It will also seek to advance joint development, technology validation, and proof-of-concept opportunities with companies in the semiconductor, quantum computing, defense, and data center sectors.

SuperMatics was established to commercialize globally the superconducting theories, materials-design technologies, and intellectual property developed by HSTNC. The SuperMatics™ platform currently under development is an integrated superconducting materials development platform that connects candidate discovery and design, property prediction, synthesis-condition optimization, and manufacturing-process recommendations within a single development workflow.

SuperMatics aims to transform superconducting materials development from a lengthy trial-and-error process into a faster and more predictable process driven by physics and data. Rather than merely identifying potential material candidates, the platform is designed to recommend synthesis and process conditions that can lead to actual production. Its core objective is to shorten superconducting-material R&D cycles and increase the probability of successful commercialization.

The Plug and Play NeoCity program operates within NeoCity, a strategic technology hub being developed by the State of Florida for next-generation semiconductors, microelectronics, advanced packaging, and quantum technologies. Throughout the program, selected companies are connected with global corporate partners, research institutions, investors, and industry experts to pursue joint development, technology validation, proof-of-concept projects, fundraising, and entry into the U.S. market.

SuperMatics will officially begin its participation in Batch 4 with the program orientation on September 10. The company will then leverage Plug and Play’s global corporate and investor network to pursue joint development and proof-of-concept projects with leading industry partners. Its investor presentation at the Silicon Valley Summit in November will serve as a further opportunity to accelerate U.S. fundraising and global market expansion.

SuperMatics’ selection represents a significant milestone, demonstrating that HSTNC’s proprietary superconducting technologies have gained recognition for both their technological merit and commercial potential within the global innovation ecosystem. HSTNC and SuperMatics will continue combining their technology base developed in Korea with U.S. research, industry, and investment networks to establish a leading position in the next-generation superconducting materials market.
