Hyunsung TNC has filed a new patent on May 27, 2025 (Application No. 10-2025-0068787), titled “Designing Method for High and Room Temperature Superconductors and Superconducting Composition Thereof.”
This invention introduces a novel framework for designing superconductors based on our proprietary Superconducting Electron Crystal (SEC) theory, which extends beyond traditional BCS limitations by predicting and stabilizing superconducting phases even at elevated temperatures.
The patented method involves simulating the superconducting transition temperature (Tc) using Monte Carlo methods with key variables such as electron density (n), phonon coupling constant (λ), and lattice constant (a). Compositions are validated through PXRD for single-phase integrity and magnetic measurements to assess superconducting stability, including Meissner effect confirmation around human body temperature (~37°C).
The designed compositions include both known high-Tc systems like Bi-2212 and YBCO, as well as novel multicomponent oxides containing Cd, In, and Bi—offering promising pathways toward room-temperature superconductivity.
